"Paintings for me usually start with a desired emotion, and in this case my desire was sweet joy, the feeling of heart centered contentment and warmth of love for all that surrounds. I desired a sense of boldness and vibrancy that can be captured by simply closing my eyes and letting it all fill me. This is that desire, translated with pigment on paper."

This is a practice piece (aka: Study) that I did, focused on a specific mixed media painting technique. The surface is heavyweight archival paper and will arrive unframed. For best display results, choose a frame with backing to keep surface flat. Due to the nature of media on paper, you may want to add glass to the frame, but it's not necessary. All paint and varnish are archival, but it's always best not to place artwork in direct sunlight. This piece will look best under warm indoor lighting.
