Hills of Tuscany

"Oh, how I've yearned Hills of Tuscany! For decades I've wanted to experience the history, the culture, the color, sounds, food ... the life! I don't think it's an accident that this painting is infused with a bluish, dreamlike quality yet still vibrant in feeling. One day I shall find myself under a grand cypress on a hill such as this, marveling at how I got there."

This is a practice piece (aka: Study) that I did, focused on a specific painting technique. The sides of the canvas are painted black, and it comes ready to hang as is or you can choose to frame it to match your decor. No glass necessary, all paint and varnish are archival, but it's always best not to place artwork in direct sunlight. This piece will look best under warm indoor lighting.
